Leonardo acquires portfolio of four ex-Revo hotels in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Dortmund
Leonardo Hotels, the European division of the Israeli owner-operator Fattal Hotel Group, has acquired a portfolio of four hotels (1,040 rooms) in Germany that were part of the former Revo Hospitality Group which filed for insolvency in January 2026. The portfolio includes two adjacent hotels in Berlin, the four-star, 336-room H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz and the three-star, 288-room H2 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz, as well as the three-star, 250-room H2 Hotel Düsseldorf City and the four-star, 166-room Steigenberger Dortmund. The two former H4 hotels are to be rebranded under the “by Leonardo Hotels” label, with the H2 and Steigenberger properties to become “Leonardo Smart” hotels.
Hand Picked Hotels acquires four hotels in the Cotswolds, England from Andrew Brownsword
British owner-operator Hand Picked Hotels has acquired a portfolio of four hotels (118 rooms) in the Cotswolds, UK, from British owner-operator Andrew Brownsword Hotels. The portfolio includes the four-star, 53-room Old Swan & Minster Mill located outside the village of Minster Lovell; the three-star, 31-room Slaughters Country Inn, and the three-star, 19-room Slaughters Manor House, both located in the village of Lower Slaughter; and the four-star, 15-room Buckland Manor located near the village of Broadway. The Cotswolds is a scenic, rural region in south-central England, popular with tourists for its rolling hills and honey-coloured stone villages. This acquisition brings Hand Picked Hotels’ portfolio to 25 country house and coastal hotels.
Highgate and Eternam acquire Athens Zafolia Hotel from the Zafolias family
US-based hotel owner-operator Highgate, together with French investment firm Eternam through its Alcyon Hospitality Europe fund, has acquired the four-star, 191-room Athens Zafolia Hotel in Greece from the local Zafolias family. The property is situated in central Athens near Lycabettus Hill, some 3 kms north-east of Syntagma Square and the Acropolis. The hotel includes a restaurant, two bars, a rooftop pool and five meeting rooms. Highgate and Eternam plan to fully renovate the hotel’s guestrooms and public areas.
