Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Hyatt Regency London Olympia, the brand’s fifth property in London. The 204-room hotel is located within the £1.3 billion Olympia redevelopment, a project that includes offices, dining venues, a live music venue, and a theatre. The property is situated opposite Kensington Olympia station, offering direct connections to central London and Heathrow Airport. Nearby landmarks include Holland Park, Kensington Palace, the Design Museum, and the Natural History Museum.
The hotel occupies Emberton House, originally opened in 1937 as a multi-story car park. The redevelopment was co-designed by Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC, with interiors by London-based design studio twenty2degrees. The design incorporates early 20th-century industrial elements and Art Deco influences, with bespoke artwork throughout.
Corridor walls feature reinterpretations of Eadweard Muybridge’s chronophotography, referencing the venue’s inaugural Hippodrome Circus. Guestrooms display framed visual codes commemorating the world’s first computer exhibition held at Olympia and performances by artists including Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and The Chemical Brothers.
Hyatt Regency London Olympia offers 204 guestrooms and suites across 14 categories. Each room is divided into a ‘Work and Play’ area with a bed and desk, and a ‘Groom and Prep’ zone separated by a sliding glass door. Rooms feature keyless entry, energy-efficient systems, and flexible layouts.
Dining options include the 1937 Lounge & Bar, serving coffee, light bites, and cocktails throughout the day, and The Market, a grab-and-go outlet. Adjacent to the hotel, Idalia restaurant is located in the Grade II listed Pillar Hall and offers all-day dining led by chefs Samantha Williams and Lorena Tommasi, with a menu featuring modern British cuisine with European and Asian influences.
The property includes over 900 square feet of meeting and event space across three rooms for board meetings, executive workshops, and intimate gatherings. Guests have direct access to Olympia’s event facilities, including an international convention centre with capacity for up to 20,000 attendees.
Amenities include a dedicated on-site fitness center and direct entry to a premium fitness studio within the Olympia complex. Outdoor amenities in the area include floodlit tennis courts and access to green spaces such as Holland Park.
