IHG Debuts voco Suites Brand in Darwin, Australia

voco Darwin Suites has officially opened at 87 Mitchell Street in Darwin, Northern Territory, introducing IHG Hotels & Resorts’ voco Suites brand to the region and marking the debut of voco Suites in Australia. The new-build hotel features 88 one- and two-bedroom suites, each equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette, a dedicated work area, and lounge space. Many suites offer private balconies with views of the ocean or city skyline.

The hotel lobby includes a Marketplace with locally sourced items for guests to use or cook in their suites. The Aviary Bar & Brasserie serves modern Australian cuisine and regional flavours, while the Aviary Bar near the lobby offers cocktails, wine, and beverages.

Amenities at voco Darwin Suites include an outdoor plunge pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a meeting and event space with natural light. The property also provides in-room technology, fast Wi-Fi, and elevated bathroom amenities. The hotel is located near Darwin attractions such as Crocosaurus Cove, the Darwin Entertainment Centre, the Waterfront Precinct, Mindil Beach, Cullen Bay, and various dining and bar venues, with access to day trips in the Northern Territory.

The opening expands the voco portfolio in Australia and New Zealand, joining properties on the Gold Coast, in Melbourne, Brisbane, the Hunter Valley, Gosford, and Queenstown. The voco brand has surpassed 100 open hotels worldwide.
