InterContinental Boston Names Shane McWeeny as General Manager

Shane McWeeny has been named General Manager of InterContinental Boston. In this position, McWeeny will oversee all operational aspects of the property, including guest services, team leadership, strategic planning, and brand development.

McWeeny has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality leadership roles. His most recent position was General Manager at Hotel Commonwealth. He has also held senior leadership roles at Boston Park Plaza, The Lenox Hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel (Dorchester Collection), The Ritz-Carlton Boston Common, Hyatt, and other independent properties.

McWeeny is a graduate of UMass Amherst and serves on the Massachusetts Lodging Association. His involvement includes initiatives related to sustainability, technological innovation, and community partnerships.
