The Festival Administrator works closely with the Artistic Director to support the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival including Festival applications, venue allocations, special events, and Artist Services. This position will maintain Artist communications, databases, and other administrative tasks to assist the Artistic Director and other departments as needed.

The Festival Producer is responsible for:
Lead the Programming Department in reviewing Artist information and eligibility for Festival applications;
Liaise between the Programming Department and Patron Services in reviewing all Artist information as it appears in our Artist Managements System, the Festival Guide, and online;
Manage agreements, compliance, and coordination of payment for Festival Artists;
Main communication touchpoint for all Festival Artists leading up to and during Festival;
Provides regular updates to the Artistic Director and relevant departments;
Coordinate with the Season Producer to communicate Bring Your Own Venue information to Artists;
Train, schedule, and support Artist Services Staff; and
Adhere to policies, procedures, controls, and secure records management.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years’ experience of arts administration;
Experience producing theatre and/or other performative arts is considered an asset;
Strong communication and proof-reading skills, both written and verbal;
Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including excel spreadsheets;
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with excellent organizational, time management skills;
Ability to prioritize deadlines and multi-task; and
Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment that responds to the evolving and innovative needs of a leading theatre arts company.
This is a permanent position with variable hours that generally follows a Monday-Friday schedule. However, it is reasonably expected that the Festival Producer be available for the lead up, execution, and reconciliation of the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.
