Marriott International Inc. and FICO Corporation have signed an agreement covering seven hotels in Thailand. The agreement includes expanding the JW Marriott brand and planned Thailand debuts for citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton, and Series by Marriott.
In Bangkok, JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn is expected to have 288 keys. The hotel is slated to include sports and fitness facilities and a lifestyle hub. citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 is anticipated to have 147 keys in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district. The hotel is expected to include technology, contemporary design, service and a food-and-beverage venue.
Three Four Points Flex by Sheraton properties are set to enter Bangkok, Thailand. Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 is expected to have 162 keys, while Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 14 is expected to have 130 keys. Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Surawong is expected to have 201 keys. The three properties are planned near Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain network.
The agreement also includes two Series by Marriott properties. Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott, is planned for Pattaya with 192 keys. Easy Planet Phuket Patong, Series by Marriott, is planned with 142 keys in Phuket.
The new agreement builds on an existing relationship between Marriott and FICO Corporation that includes four hotels in Bangkok under four brands: Hotel Muse Bangkok, Autograph Collection; Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok Townhall Sukhumvit; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit; and Metropole Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
With the seven planned properties, the collaboration is set to include 11 hotels across eight brands.
