Medical Examiner Reveals New Details About Robert Kelker-Kelly’s Death

30 October 20262 Mins Read

New details regarding actor Robert Kelker-Kelly’s death have been revealed. The Office of the Regional Medical Examiner in St. Charles, Missouri, confirmed to PEOPLE that the actor died of arteriosclerotic heart disease. His death was ruled natural.

Kelker-Kelly, who played Bo Brady in Days of Our Lives, died on Saturday, Oct. 3, at age 62, after reporting severe chest and arm pain. According to PEOPLE, the actor’s wife, Allison Kelly, told authorities that she picked him up from Spirit Airport at exactly 7:30 p.m. and was driving home when he began experiencing pain in his left arm and chest.

The police report said that the actor asked his wife to pull over so he could vomit. Kelly asked if he needed to go to the hospital, but he asked to go home and rest instead. Later that night, Kelker-Kelly continued experiencing pain and asked his wife for aspirin. When she returned from the kitchen with the medication, he was found “unresponsive and not breathing.”

Kelly called 911 and performed CPR. Police and paramedics from the St. Charles County Ambulance District then came to the actor’s home, attempting to save his life. However, Kelker-Kelly was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m.

Kelly claimed that her husband wasn’t taking any prescription medications and that he had no known medical conditions. She also told authorities he didn’t have any serious injuries or surgeries within the previous year.

The police report said the St. Charles County Medical Examiner released Kelker-Kelly “with no further need for investigation.” Police then closed the case.

Kelker-Kelly’s acting career began in 1987, when he starred as Sam Fowler on Another World. He later took on Peter Reckell’s role in Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995. He also appeared in TV shows like Port Charles, Touched by an Angel, and General Hospital.
