Mountain getaways in Alberta to escape to this spring break

30 March 20262 Mins Read

Looking to get away from the city this spring break? We’ve got you covered.

Alberta is known for its expansive mountainous atmosphere. With beautiful rock formations, the province has so much to offer in terms of wilderness exploration and magic. Don’t worry, though, we’ve rounded up some mountain getaways for this spring in Alberta, especially for those looking to get away from the business of metropolitan life.

Here are some cottages and lodges we’d recommend for this spring break.

Mount Engadine Lodge is a secluded lodge and glamping resort located between the beautiful mountains of Kananaskis, Alberta. With many different types of accommodations and an all-inclusive meal plan for those staying overnight, it’s the best place with the best deal. Not to mention, you’re in the middle of the Alberta wilderness, ready to explore.

Address: 1 Mount Shark Rd., Canmore, Alta.

Expanse Cottages provides six hand-built self-contained cabins in beautiful Nordegg. Providing gorgeous views of the Rockies, these cottages are perfect for that private getaway. The views are really what set these cottages apart, with the most gorgeous forest and, most importantly, mountain lookouts.

Where: 305 Shunda Creek Rd., Nordegg, Alta.

Nestled in the historic Miette area of Jasper National Park, these private log cabins provide the perfect getaway any time of the year. With nature surrounding the cabin, you can fully immerse yourself in the serene noise of the wild.

Where: Jasper, Alta.

Skyridge Glamping is nestled in the heart of Kananaskis, offering breathtaking mountain views and a wilderness escape. This secluded adults-only getaway has created the most intimate eco-cabins you won’t want to leave. Designed for comfort, relaxation, and the beauty of the wild, you won’t regret glamping in style.

Address: 3 Flat Creek Rd., Kananaskis Village, Alta.

Here, off-grid meets upscale in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Nestled along the Highwood River at the foothills, this serene adults-only escape is a true sanctuary in Kananaskis country.

Where: 288139 658th Ave. W., Longview, Alta.
