Eagle-eyed fans of Paris Hilton have noticed something about her style in recent years. It seems the 45-year-old heiress seldom makes an appearance in public without wearing fingerless gloves or long sleeves that cover the tops of her hands.
In fact, the former reality star was even wearing bedazzled white fingerless gloves during her proposal to now-husband Carter Reum in 2021.
So, why does Hilton wear fingerless gloves everywhere she goes?
Fans first noticed Hilton’s affinity for fingerless gloves while watching her Netflix series, Cooking With Paris. At the time, Hilton revealed she wore her “chef gloves” to prevent injuries while in the kitchen.
“I’m going to get another piece of cheese ’cause I’m scared I’m going to start grinding my fingers off,” Hilton said in the YouTube video. “That’s why I wear my chef gloves. They’re usually for sliving but now that it’s 2020, you’re still going to see sliving, but sliving it in a different way.”

However, seeing as Hilton has practically worn gloves or long sleeves to every red carpet (including the 2023 Met Gala) and DJ gig over the past five years, there is another reason for the sartorial choice. In fact, many point to her obsession with anti-aging and skincare as the real reason for the gloves.
“I feel really proud that I’m all natural,” Hilton shared in 2024. “I’ve stayed out of the sun. I’ve never done any Botox, injectables, no surgery, nothing.”
She continued, “My mom told me when I was 8 years old, ‘Paris, stay out of the sun,’ and then she taught me this amazing 10-step skincare routine. So I’ve literally been doing that since [I was] 8. I’ve also built a spa in my house called the Sliving Spa, and it has the most epic LED lights, Hydrafacial machines, a hyperbaric chamber, cryotherapy—it’s basically, like, a real spa.”
Let’s just add gloves to her skincare regimen.
