'RHOP's Wendy Osefo Stands by Mugshot Smirk, Shares New Arrest Details

16 February 20262 Mins Read

Months after her headline-making arrest, Wendy Osefo is setting the record straight, revealing new details at TheReal Housewives of Potomac Season 10 reunion and explaining the story behind her now-viral mugshot smirk.

Wendy and her husband, Eddie, were arrested in October 2025 for allegedly staging a robbery at their Maryland home to commit insurance fraud. The couple faces 16 charges, including seven felony counts, after allegedly falsely claiming that jewelry and designer items worth thousands had been stolen during a trip to Jamaica in April 2024.

During the reunion, Wendy explained what was behind her mugshot smile. “The guy who was taking my picture, he was really nice,” she explained. “He was like, ‘Give me another look, give me another.’ He was playing around with me because he knew it was heavy. I was crying in there. I was sad. So he was just trying to cheer me up.”

Host Andy Cohen wondered if she now regrets her reaction. “I don’t regret smiling, because at the end of the day, I think we’ve all been through things, and you try to smile through the pain, no matter how heavy it is,” Wendy replied. She added that neither she nor Eddie took edibles from their Happy Eddie brand, sharing that Eddie looked “far gone” because he had been asleep prior to his mugshot being taken.

Wendy said her children have handled the situation differently. Her youngest, Kam, remains unaware of what happened, while her eldest, Karter, realized something was wrong after unexpectedly staying with relatives and later discovering news about the arrests online. Wendy said the emotional moment led her and her husband to be fully honest with him moving forward, keeping him informed about court dates so he isn’t caught off guard by public updates.

The night she and Eddie spent in jail was scary, and Wendy is uneasy about what the future holds, but says, “But my faith is what’s carrying me.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac is on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
