Doctor X is an upcoming internationally licensed South Korean Netflix Original medical thriller directed by Lee Jung Rim.
When is the Netflix release date for Doctor X?
Doctor X is set to premiere on SBS on October 9, 2026, and will be released on Netflix on the same day as the Korean broadcast.
There will be 12 episodes in total. New episodes will be released weekly on Fridays and Saturdays. Each episode will have a runtime 70 minutes.

“Kye Su Jeong is a genius surgeon. Introduced through Jang Hui Suk’s doctor placement agency, Kye Su Jeong is placed at Guseo University Hospital to fill a surgical vacancy. She proves her worth through her surgical skills, and she exposes absurdities in the medical field. She becomes involved with Bu Seung Gwon, the director of Guseo University Hospital, and intern Park Tae Gyeong. “
Who are the cast members of Doctor X?
Kim Ji Won, Lee Jung Eun, Son Hyun Joo, and Kim Woo Seok will star in Doctor X.
Kim Ji Won plays Kye Su Jeong. The actress previously starred in the incredibly popular series Queen of Tears and also appeared in other dramas on Netflix, including My Liberation Notes, Lovestruck in the City, Arthdal Chronicles, and Mr. Sunshine. She will also star in the upcoming Netflix drama Detective Park Mi Ok.

Lee Jung Eun plays Jang Hui Suk. One of the most prolific actresses on Netflix, she has starred in many dramas, including Heavenly Ever After, The Trunk, Miss Night and Day, Daily Dose of Sunshine, Our Blues, and more. She was also due to star in the Netflix drama Granny, but production was recently put on hold.

Son Hyun Joo plays Bu Seung Gwon. The actor is starring in the highly anticipated K-drama The WONDERfools and has already starred in Captivating the King and Itaewon Class.
