Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa Names Kaleo Kenui General Manager

Kaleo Kenui has been named general manager of Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, located on Kāʻanapali Beach at Puʻu Kekaʻa (Black Rock). Kenui brings nearly 30 years of hospitality leadership experience across full-service resorts and Marriott Select Brand properties to the role.

Kenui most recently served as dual general manager for Residence Inn and AC Hotel by Marriott Maui Wailea from 2016 to 2026. He oversaw the opening of Hawaiʻi’s first AC Hotel by Marriott in Wailea, which received Opening Hotel of the Year honors. He has also held director of operations positions at Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui, and Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

Earlier in his career, Kenui contributed to the openings of Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Oceanside and Courtyard by Marriott Maui Kahului Airport, and supported operational systems transitions across Marriott’s Hawaiʻi full-service properties.

Kenui has received several industry recognitions, including Residence Inn Opening Hotel of the Year in 2016, Marriott Select Brands Western Region General Manager of the Year in 2022, and the Diamond General Manager Award in 2023. He has served on the Wailea Community Association Board and participated in community stewardship initiatives, including the adoption and quarterly cleanup of a two-mile stretch along Piʻilani Highway.

Kenui helped establish Hawaiʻi’s first Children’s Miracle Network Torch Relay and continues to support the annual fundraising effort benefiting Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children, which has raised more than $100,000 for local families since its launch.
