Did you hear, Toronto?

Anderson. Paak will be spinning tracks at this Bruno Mars afterparty

I’m always down for an afterparty — especially if it’s a celebrity takeover. Anderson .Paak is making his way to Toronto, set to host and DJ at FYE Ultraclub under his DJ alter ego, DJ Pee .Wee.

It’s all tied to Bruno Mars’ upcoming Toronto stops for The Romantic Tour. DJ Pee .Wee will spin the tracks at the after party on Saturday, May 23, and doors are set to open at 10 p.m.

And if you’re coming from the concert at Rogers Stadium, you may want to plan accordingly.

Tickets for the DJ set start at $40 and can be purchased online. The age limit is 22+.

Rogers Stadium reveals new concert menu

Talking about Bruno Mars — we’re eating good at the Rogers Stadium this summer. Rogers Stadium has just dropped its lineup of new food and drink options, including artist-inspired menus for the 2026 concert season.

The major highlight of the season is the introduction of performance-inspired menu items that are tied to specific artists. So when Bruno Mars brings his Romantic Tour to Toronto, concertgoers can enjoy Uptown Funky Fries, paired with the singer’s favourite cocktail, the Hollywood Colada, which is served in a shaker cup.

The Matcha Tokyo is coming to Toronto

That Japan trip will have to wait because The Matcha Tokyo is making its Canadian debut on Saturday, May 16. There are locations all over the world, from Japan to the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the UAE. And now we’re getting it on the Ossington strip. I mean, it makes sense considering the street was once named the coolest in the world. And considering the street’s proximity to some of the city’s busiest spots, we’re not surprised it found a home here.

Anyway, it’s opening up at 139 Ossington Ave. with a ton of matcha offerings. Straight matcha, matcha lattes, and desserts, even hojicha-based beverages! And some signature items too, like the soft serve, and even a Toronto-exclusive nama matcha chocolate basque cheesecake.

And on opening day, an ambassador from The Matcha Tokyo in Japan will be on-site as a guest master tea artisan. They will be preparing and serving matcha for guests throughout opening day. See you there.

The annual flower market is back this weekend

It’s that time of year again when you start wondering why everyone in the city is walking around with flowers. And of course, wondering where they got them.

The Toronto Flower Market kicks off its first floral market experience of the year on Saturday, May 9.

Shoppers will get the chance to purchase wonderful Ontario-grown plants and flowers from local vendors. The Flower Market is at its usual location, 1001 Queen St. W.

Primadonna is getting a Juno Award-winning artist for a live music residency

Juno award-winning artist Sean Jones is taking up a live music residency at Primadonna starting Thursday, May 7.

LA Notte brings the best of a night out — drinks and good eats paired with live music. Tickets for the experience start at $25, but if you want dinner, which of course you do, prix fixe eats start at $65. Reservations can be made online.

That’s all for now, Toronto. Don’t worry, we’re sure we’ll have more deets to share next week.
