When most of us think of a theme park vacation, the mental picture usually involves waking up at dawn to fight for virtual ride queues, navigating packed midways shoulder-to-shoulder, and standing in 90-minute lines under the baking sun.
Now, a massive new destination in Mexico is trying to rewrite that playbook from the ground up.
Grupo Vidanta has officially announced that VidantaWorld’s Beauty of Nature (BON) Luxury Theme Park will begin welcoming its very first guests on October 24, 2026. Billed as the world’s first luxury theme park, the $1.5 billion development is located in Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit along Mexico’s Pacific coast. It will kick off with an exclusive soft opening for resort guests ahead of its grand public debut in April 2027.

Redefining Luxury on the Midway

The guiding idea behind BON is that true luxury isn’t just about high-end amenities—it’s about having time, space, and breathing room.
Instead of admitting tens of thousands of visitors each day, the park operates exclusively in the evenings, Tuesday through Saturday, with strictly capped nightly attendance. The goal is an uncrowded atmosphere where multi-generational families—grandparents, parents, and kids—can stroll leisurely, grab a cocktail, and experience top-tier attractions without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Rather than licensing existing movie franchises or comic book characters, BON built its own storytelling universe from scratch. The park’s design draws inspiration from Mexico’s rich mythology and natural landscapes, weaving living jungles, tranquil waterways, and glowing night gardens directly into the attractions.
“We set out to create the world’s first luxury theme park and rethink what a theme park experience could be,” said Ivan Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta. “BON brings together the excitement and imagination of a world-class theme park with the space, comfort, service and hospitality of a luxury destination. We want children, parents and grandparents to each find something extraordinary here—and to enjoy it together.”

Thrill Rides, Lagoon Spectacles, and Cirque du Soleil

When fully complete across seven themed worlds, BON will house more than 20 attractions and experiences. For the October 24 soft opening, five of those worlds will be open for discovery: Laguna Feliz, Celebration Lagoon, Crystal Star Plaza, Discovery Jungle, and Adventure Valley.
To make sure the rides deliver genuine excitement, Vidanta tapped the world’s premier roller coaster and ride manufacturers—including Vekoma, Intamin, and Mack Rides.
Adrenaline seekers will find The Rise of Soluma, an inverted suspended coaster flying beneath the rail at 54 km/h through the dense canopy of Discovery Jungle, and Floresta Drop, an Intamin drop tower that lifts riders 40 meters above the treeline before a breathtaking plunge. Families can take a spin on Time Quest in Adventure Valley, or gather around Celebration Lagoon at night when The Crater erupts into an illuminated show of water, fire, and dancing fountains.
Live entertainment also takes center stage via Cirque du Soleil LUDÕ. Housed in a custom-designed resident theater within the park, the production blends breathtaking acrobatics with visual storytelling and curated dining, giving guests a full theatrical evening out without leaving the grounds.
