There’s a farm near Edmonton holding a fall festival with train rides and a corn maze

10 September 20263 Mins Read

Fall-O-Ween is back this September near Edmonton, with Prairie Gardens bringing mazes, train rides, and so many more seasonal activities to its annual autumnal festival.

Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm is a u-pick farm open daily during the summer. According to the farm, it’s been open since 1956 and continues to be one of the Edmonton area’s best agricultural hot spots. It also hosts a ton of seasonal festivals like the Fairy Berry Festival and, now, its fall festival: Fall-O-Ween.

Everything to know about Fall-O-Ween

When is Fall-O-Ween?

This fall festival will be taking place during the last two weekends of September: on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20, and then on Sept. 26 and Sept. 27.

Where is Prairie Gardens, and what is the best way to get there?

Prairie Gardens is located north of Edmonton in Bon Accord. The farm has provided a map on its website, as well as driving times from several towns and cities within Alberta.

What’s new this year at the festival?

This year, the farm is adding a Pumpkin Patch and Pancake Breakfast to the agenda, which is included with each ticket.

The special fall harvest breakfast laid out by the farm will be featuring warm pancakes topped with pumpkin spice Chantilly cream, scrambled fresh farm eggs, sliced smoked sausage, its famous dilly garlic potatoes, and pumpkin scones with a maple glaze for dessert. Not to mention, you’ll also get the choice of their signature apple cider mocktail and other delicious beverages

After your scrumptious breakfast, guests are invited to join in on the fall festival action. These tickets also include one Jack O’ Lantern per person, plus exclusive pumpkin crafts to take home.

What’s included with general admission?

For those just attending Fall-O-Ween, the festival includes:

  • A pumpkin patch
  • Hayrides and trackless train rides
  • Corn mazes
  • A straw bale maze
  • Farm animals
  • Sunflower Daze (seasonal)
  • Lost Lemon Gem Mine
  • Pumpkin Corn-i-val Games
  • Fall photo stations

General admission tickets also include a $5 voucher for activities like gem mining or pumpkin painting. This voucher can also be put toward food or souvenir purchases.

Are costumes allowed?

According to Prairie Gardens, family-friendly costumes are permitted.

How much are tickets?

General admission tickets for the festival are $21 plus fees for adults and $19 plus fees for children (ages three to 12). Those getting Pumpkin Patch and Pancake Breakfast tickets will be looking at $69 plus fees for adults and $49 plus fees for children.

Tickets are available online now, and there will be no walk-in tickets available.
