Canopy Deer Valley opened in September 2026 at 2288 W. Deer Hollow Road in Park City, Utah, as one of the first hotels in Deer Valley Resort’s East Village expansion. Extell Development Company developed the property, Canopy Hotels’ first hotel in Utah.
The hotel is minutes away from Deer Valley East Village, about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, and provides immediate access to the Jordanelle Express Gondola. Deer Valley East Village is planned to include expanded ski terrain, restaurants, shopping, recreation, entertainment and year-round programming.
DLR Group | BraytonHughes designed the 180-room hotel. Its interiors reference Park City’s mining history and Deer Valley’s mountain landscape. The building exterior includes locally sourced stone and thermally modified wood.
Guest rooms include natural materials, custom furnishings, flexible storage for outdoor equipment and windows overlooking Deer Valley Resort and the Jordanelle Reservoir. Headboards reference outdoor gear, while rugs draw inspiration from ski tracks across snow.
The hotel includes public spaces such as a lobby, fireplace areas and seating areas. Artwork, furnishings and design details throughout the property reference the area’s outdoor heritage.
Canopy Deer Valley has four dining concepts led by Executive Chef Scott Rackliff. Tavolona is an Italian trattoria serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fornetto, adjacent to Tavolona, serves antipasti, cicchetti, pizza, local brews and cocktails.
Mountain Provisions serves coffee from Park City Coffee Roasters, grab-and-go food and provisions. Alpine Attic is a rooftop lounge offering mountain views, food and seasonal programming. The culinary program uses ingredients from regional producers, including PaMaw’s Organic Farm and Wasatch Meats, when available.
