There’s a grand Edmonton market taking over 124th Street starting this week

11 May 20263 Mins Read

Coming this week is Edmonton’s grandest market taking over 124th Street.

124th Grand Market takes over the streets on Thursdays and Sundays, but today we’ll be talking about its Thursday market. Each week, there is a selection of over 60 rotating vendors with fresh produce, handmade goods, and trinkets, as well as food trucks that are going to satisfy your taste buds in every which way.

Grand Markets Edmonton was established in 2012, and now it’s grown into something even bigger than we could’ve ever imagined. If you’re looking for the greatest market to visit on weekdays after work, you might have just found it.

What to expect

Good news, folks. You won’t have to wait any longer for this market. Its Thursday market actually starts the season this week on May 14. Each Thursday market lasts from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., giving you your evening to peruse around and discover all sorts of new things.

Wondering where exactly this market is taking over? Well, it’s located on 108th Avenue between 124th Street and 123rd Street, all right in the heart of Westmount. Did I mention it’s outdoors? No? Well… It’s an outdoor market, which means you’ll be getting Edmonton’s warm breeze every Thursday.

There’s an extremely diverse selection of vendors which make their mark each week. With food trucks, prepared foods, and fresh produce, you won’t get enough of it. There are also all the artisan products which will be flaunted, so take your pick!

Wanting to enjoy your food, sit down, and live in the atmosphere? There will also be live entertainment in Helen Nolan Park, setting the scene as part of the 124 Grand Market Busker Series.

For families with children, they can take part in the Little Beans kids’ program, a free interactive experience for children ages four to 12, running weekly starting in June. Maybe not a great comparison, but your fur babies will love this market as well, as dogs are welcome.

All in all, this market is everything you could ask for. You’ll be missing out if you don’t drop by at least one Thursday. Or, you might be more interested in their Sunday market instead (restarting this June).

No matter what, it’s going to be a grand ol’ time.

When: Every Thursday from May 14, 2026, to Oct. 18, 2026
Time: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 108th Avenue and 124th Street
Cost: Free
