Toronto’s getting a massive Oktoberfest celebration for three weekends

14 September 20263 Mins Read

A massive Oktoberfest celebration is bringing a special feast, cold brews, and a whole lot of Bavarian spirit to Toronto.

Kicking off on Sept. 19 and 20, Oktoberfest will take over The Distillery District, welcoming all to enjoy live music and entertainment, themed games, traditions, and, of course, plentiful eats.

What to expect at Oktoberfest

First weekend

According to organizers, the first weekend will include a ticketed event, The First Pour. Guests will have the chance to enjoy a delicious platter of food — think sausages, Bavarian fries, pretzels, and all the accoutrements. This will also be paired with a stein of Mill Street Festbier Lager, a special 5.5% German-style Oktoberfest lager. This feast will be available on Saturday, Sept. 19, with tickets from 4:30 to 8 p.m., and on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 2 to 7:30 p.m.

All of this can be enjoyed at your reserved seat at the Beer Hall long table on Trinity St under the Gooderham & Worts sign.

Once you’re done chowing down, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy table games, polka music from 2 to 5 p.m., a photo booth, and other Oktoberfest games.

Each guest will have the chance to take home a complimentary newsprint keepsake provided by Alley Press, as well.

Weekends to follow

Can’t make it opening weekend? No worries, Oktoberfest celebrations will be ongoing for three weekends, including Sept. 26 and 27 and Oct. 3 and 4 from 2 to 9 p.m.

The Black Forest Band will take over Trinity Square from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by live music and entertainment in the Pure Spirits Courtyard from 6 to 9 p.m.

On the last and final day, there will be a special polka performance from the Happy Wanderers in Trinity Square from 2 to 5 p.m.

It’s important to note that this experience is 19+ only!

Now with summer out of the way, it’s time to go all in on fall festivities.

Oktoberfest

When: Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026 (The First Pour); Sept. 26 and 27 and Oct. 3 and 4 from 2 to 9 p.m.
Time: Select time slots
Where: The Distillery Historic District – 55 Mill St.
