Toronto’s waterfront is about to come alive with free concerts all summer long

1 June 20262 Mins Read

Summer Music in the Garden, Toronto’s beloved free concert series, returns to the harbourfront this month.

The summertime event is marking its 25th spectacular season, set to enchant audiences starting Sunday, June 21. Each year, the Toronto Music Garden is transformed into a breathtaking open-air theatre, where music and nature intertwine in perfect harmony.

What to expect

Locals and visitors alike are invited to experience the magic, as the sounds of talented Canadian artists and international names fill the garden with melody, rhythm, and soul, all completely free of charge.

According to organizers, you can enjoy 20 free live performances all summer long.

And that’s everything from classical and jazz to folk, global music and boundary-pushing collaborations.

“This season’s highlights include the classical storytelling of Juno nominee Julie Lumsden, the Afrocentric choral music of The Nathaniel Dett Chorale, the electric Cuban rhythms of Montano Cubano and the Western, classical and Persian fusion of Ladom Ensemble,” shares the Harbourfront Centre.

The full list of artists and their performances can be found online.

Performances will take place every Thursday and Sunday until Thursday, Aug. 27, offering the perfect excuse to unwind by the water and enjoy a cultural experience like no other.

When: Thursdays and Sundays from June 21 to Aug. 27, 2026
Time: Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m.
Where: Toronto Music Garden — 479 Queens Quay W.
Cost: Free
