Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened TRYP by Wyndham, The Hague Scheveningen, marking the brand’s entry into The Hague and Wyndham’s fifth hotel in the Netherlands.
The hotel is in Scheveningen, minutes from the beach and within reach of The Hague. It is about 30 kilometers from Rotterdam The Hague Airport and 38 kilometers from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The Hague is reachable in less than an hour from the city centers of Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
The property is housed in a building dating from the 1960s in a protected part of Scheveningen and has undergone a full renovation. Next year, the property will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Badhotel, which first welcomed guests in 1927.
TRYP by Wyndham, The Hague Scheveningen has 90 rooms across six floors. Room categories include Smart, Twin, Double and Superior rooms, as well as Family Rooms with bunk beds. The renovation includes natural textures, sandy tones and light-filled guest rooms. Corridors feature darker hues, and the hotel has a music concept with soundscapes tailored to different areas.
Amenities include a fitness club, sauna, sensory shower and steam room. The hotel also has public areas for meetings, work and leisure, a breakfast restaurant serving a continental buffet and a lobby bar.
The property has three meeting rooms, including The Sunset Room, which has its own bar. The largest meeting room measures 100 square meters and can accommodate up to 100 guests. Meeting facilities include audiovisual equipment, technical support and catering services for corporate groups, workshops and small conferences.
The opening follows Wyndham’s longstanding franchise relationship with the partner that opened Ramada by Wyndham The Hague Scheveningen in 2014. Wyndham’s other brands in the Netherlands include Ramada by Wyndham, Vienna House by Wyndham and Trademark Collection by Wyndham.
The Hague recorded more than 2.9 million overnight guests in 2024, according to The Hague Online. The city is home to the Dutch Parliament, the United Nations and the royal family. Scheveningen includes a promenade with bars and restaurants, museums, cultural attractions, surfing and other water sports.
