Two of the world’s biggest names in steak are coming together in one Toronto kitchen for a dinner that’s sure to get meat lovers talking.
Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse is joining forces with London steakhouse favourite Hawksmoor for a three-night collaboration running November 3 to 5. Called The Rare Tour, the event brings the two restaurants together under one roof for the first time.
Jacobs & Co. needs little introduction to Toronto steak lovers. Now settled into its sprawling new home at CIBC Square, the restaurant has added custom fish-ageing lockers to its famous beef vaults. Led by Executive Chef Danny McCallum, it remains the only Canadian restaurant to make the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list for three consecutive years.
Hawksmoor, meanwhile, has built quite a reputation in the UK and beyond. Founded in London’s Spitalfields neighbourhood in 2006 by two childhood friends, the group is known for its grass-fed British beef, cooked over real charcoal, excellent cocktails and lively dining rooms that never take themselves too seriously. In 2022, it was named the world’s best steakhouse.

Hawksmoor executive chef Matthew Brown and Global Pastry Chef Carla Henriques are heading to Toronto to join McCallum for an exclusive six-course dinner prepared by all four hands. The menu puts Jacobs’ international beef selection up against Hawksmoor’s traditional British cuts, with signature sides and pours from Antinori’s wine collection, including the much-loved Tignanello.
Both restaurants share a meticulous approach to sourcing, ageing and preparing their beef. Expect plenty of attention to detail on the plate, balanced by the relaxed, welcoming service that has made both dining rooms popular.
The six-course dinner is $250 per person, with an optional wine pairing for $175 or zero-proof pairing for $70. The event runs November 3 to 5, with prepaid reservations required.
