What was your mom like when she was your age? We want to hear from you | Canada Voices

Have you ever thought about what your mom was up to when she was your age? Maybe the thought crossed your mind the last time you saw an old photo of her surrounded by a group of friends, or when she told you about going on a big adventure in her youth (where she met an old flame your dad doesn’t know about).

It’s easy to think of our moms just as, well, moms. The ones who changed our diapers, managed our angsty teen years and moved us into our first apartments.

But as we get older – especially if we’re the same age they were when they had kids, or when your kids got to be that age as well – we can’t help but look back and think about who they were as people and what choices they made.

For a future Globe and Mail story, we want to hear about what your moms were like when they were the age you are now, and what you would want to say to them. What was going on in their lives? Have you followed similar life trajectories? How much do you look alike?
