Here’s what we know about the Steven Spielberg film’s home video release
Disclosure Day is Steven Spielberg’s first sci-fi blockbuster since 2018’s Ready Players One, and it’s a return to form for the genre legend. The film about people attempting to tell the world that aliens have been visiting Earth for nearly 80 years combines the wonder and spectacle of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. with the tense chase scenes of the Indiana Jones series.
If you love ambitious, emotional sci-fi movies like Project Hail Mary and Arrival, you’re going to want to see this film on the big screen to best appreciate the stunning visuals and stirring John Williams score. But if you want to plan a Spielberg movie marathon or prefer to explore the mysteries of the universe from the comfort of your own home, here’s our best guess as to when Disclosure Day will be available on streaming.
When will Disclosure Day be available to rent or purchase digitally?
Disclosure Day is distributed by Universal Pictures, so we’re basing our estimate on some of the studio’s recent big releases. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hit theaters on April 1 and got its digital release on May 19, while Wicked: For Good made its VOD debut on Dec. 30, 2025 after opening on Nov. 21. That means Disclosure Day will probably head to VOD in August.

When will Disclosure Day be available on Blu-ray/DVD?
Wicked: For Good got its physical release on Jan. 20 and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be available on 4K UHD, DVD, and Blu-ray on June 16. That means you’ll probably see a special feature-packed physical version of Disclosure Day in September.
When will Disclosure Day be available on streaming?
Peacock will be Disclosure Day’s first stop on streaming, though Universal has a licensing deal with Netflix, which means you’ll likely be able to find the film there if you’re willing to wait a bit longer. Wicked: For Good began streaming on Peacock on March 20 and will make its Netflix debut on July 20. You’ll probably find Disclosure Day on Peacock starting in November and it will touch down on Netflix in March 2027.
