You can spend over $2,000 at these 3 Toronto restaurants before the main course even hit the table, Canada Reviews

15 September 20262 Mins Read

Toronto has no shortage of ways to spend a lot of money on dinner. And if you’re ordering the city’s most expensive ingredients, the bill can get pretty wild before you’ve even made it to the main course.

If you’re looking for a splurge or just want to know how the other half lives, these three Toronto restaurants offer everything from seafood flown in from Tokyo to seriously marbled Japanese wagyu. Add it all up and you could spend $2,177 across the city before your first glass of champagne even lands on the table.

The tasting menu ($780)

Even after being demoted to one Michelin star, chef Masaki Saito’s Yorkville Sushi Masaki Saito counter commands Canada’s highest per-person entry fee. Guests sit at a 200-year-old Hinoki wood bar for Edomae-style omakase featuring fish flown in directly from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market. It is pure, unadulterated sushi theatre. 88 Avenue Rd.

A $300 cut suddenly looks like a bargain. At Jacobs & Co., the 22-ounce rib-eye is one of the priciest slabs of beef in Toronto. The spot is known for its dry-aged program, but this is where things really get serious: the steak is A5 Miyazaki wagyu from Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan, prized for its intense marbling and buttery texture. 81 Bay St., 4th floor.

À la carte showpiece ($605)
