Your go-to guide to hosting a Father’s Day BBQ to remember

18 June 20262 Mins Read

Father’s Day is almost here (Sunday, June 21) — and if there’s one guaranteed way to win the day, it’s firing up the grill for an epic backyard BBQ.

Not the best event planner? It doesn’t have to be complicated. The sun’s in the sky, so just grab your family and friends, decorate that backyard, and head to Farm Boy to stock up on your essentials.

Here’s a quick and easy guide to build the ultimate Father’s Day barbecue.

Start with the grill hero

Dads love to grill, so it’s time to make that grill master feel appreciated! Be sure to stock up on butcher-quality Canadian beef cuts, gourmet burgers, or Farm Boy’s artisan sausages, all crafted with quality ingredients. There are also ready-to-grill options and marinated proteins, so you can go straight to grillin’ and eatin’ — no need to prep!

Pair all of the above with Farm Boy BBQ sauces and marinades for that delicious bold, smoky flavour, and add some fresh bakery buns and breads to round things out.

Add some flavourful sides

What’s a barbecue without some sides? Balance things out with crisp salads using market-fresh greens and Farm Boy Private Label dressings (Lemon Garlic is always a standout), ready-made sides like potato salad, slaws, and grilled vegetable options, or grab some fresh local produce to bring a pop of colour to every plate.

Finish strong with treats and drinks

Of course, you’ll need a sweet treat after the main meal. Farm Boy loaf cakes and squares are always crowd pleasers, sure to satisfy every sweet tooth. And to wash it all down, you can pick up some refreshing beverages and drinks at Farm Boy too., like sparkling lemonades and zero-proof cocktails.

Visit your local Farm Boy to get everything you need for Father’s Day. And be sure to follow the Farm Boy Instagram for seasonal inspiration and grilling ideas.
