Calgary is heading into one of its biggest weeks of the summer, with Stampede season in full swing and the city packed with festivals, concerts, and pop-up events. With so much happening at once, it can be hard to keep track of everything going on, so we’ve done the work for you and rounded up the best events taking place this week.

Without further ado, let’s jump into it.

The Calgary Stampede is here all week, and the city is fully in celebration mode. From rodeos to pancake breakfasts and community events, there’s something happening everywhere you look.

When: Monday, July 6, to Sunday, July 12, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Where: 1410 Stampede Tr. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: $17 to $28

Cowboys Music continues throughout this week, taking over Stampede nightlife with a lineup spanning rap, pop, country, and electronic. Macklemore, Ella Langley, John Summit, Rupaul, and so many more are set to hit the stage.

When: Monday, July 6, to Sunday, July 12, 2026

Start your morning with TELUS Spark’s free pancake breakfast, featuring pancakes, live music, science demos, and free parking all day. Guests will also receive 50 per cent off admission before noon, with early access to select exhibits.

Set along the Bow River, Roundup Music Festival blends live music with a scenic outdoor backdrop, featuring rock and indie performances from Billy Idol, David Lee Roth, Foster the People, and Grouplove.

When: Wednesday, July 8, to Thursday, July 9, 2026
Time: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Prince’s Island Park – 698 Eau Claire Ave. SW, Calgary, Alta.

Catch the Calgary Surge as they compete against the Vancouver Bandits in a high-energy CEBL matchup.

Free Spirit Dance is hosting a free sunset salsa lesson at the containR Art Park in Inglewood. The event will have a Latin dance workshop followed by social dancing and DJ sets by DJ Creolo, featuring salsa, bachata, and tropical music.

Calaway Park turns into a superhero takeover for Calaway Comic Fest for Kids, where guests are encouraged to dress up and explore a weekend of character meet-and-greets, themed activities, and family-friendly fun across the park.

The Oxford Stomp returns to Prince’s Island Park, bringing a full day of rock and indie music to Stampede week in support of the Calgary Food Bank. This year’s lineup features the Arkells, Portugal. The Man, Cannons, and The Blue Stones.

Looking to catch a break from all of the country music? Afro Switch Festival takes over the city with a global sound experience built around Afrobeats, Hip-hop, and RnB. With live performances, DJs, and food vendors, every part of the festival is built around music, movement and culture.
