Calgary is heading into another busy week of events, with something happening for just about everyone across the city.

We’ve rounded up 10 of the best things to do in and around the city, so you don’t have to doomscroll in search of plans.

Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Victoria Day marks the official opening of the Historical Village, and there is no better way to kick off the 2026 season than with a classic afternoon tea. Enjoy finger sandwiches, pastries, and tea before wandering the Village as it begins to come to life for spring.

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Looking to catch a little pre-season football action? The Calgary Stampeders are set to take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, giving fans an early taste of CFL energy before the season officially kicks off.

Experience a powerful night of orchestral music as the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Earl Lee, brings Mahler’s First Symphony to life. The piece moves from bright spring-like themes to darker moments before building to a dramatic finale.
