Summer is starting to wind down, which means there are only so many weekends left to squeeze in all the plans you kept putting off. Golf fans can catch the action this weekend as the Rogers Charity Classic opens its public viewing areas at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club. The 78 PGA Tour Champions players have been competing throughout the week, and this weekend is your chance to watch it all unfold in person.
There will also be a Blue Jays-themed experience on the 16th hole, with live music, ballpark-style vendors, and appearances from Blue Jays alumni.

Grab a blanket and head to the BMO Amphitheatre this Saturday for a free outdoor screening of Barbie. The movie will be paired with entertainment from Biggies Roller Rink, and the first 200 guests can also pick up a free bag of popcorn from Maisie Eatery. There’s also free entry to the SAM Centre from 4 to 5 p.m., before the movie gets started.

Head over to Eau Claire Plaza this Saturday for a free celebration of Muslim culture, heritage and community. The festival will feature cultural exhibits, traditional performances, art workshops, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

Calgary’s first combined concrete pump track and skatepark is hosting its grand opening this weekend, and you’re invited. Head over to George Moss Park in Ogden and enjoy a day of skating, biking and activities, including beginner lessons, an adapted bike session, giveaways, and a free kids bike trade-up.

If you’re into comics, collectibles, video games, or all things pop culture, the YYCFanFair is a good event to have on your radar this weekend. This one-day event will bring together local artists and vendors, selling everything from toys to trading cards, video games, and other collectibles.
