Calgary is getting a giant summer rave with some of EDM’s biggest names

21 July 20263 Mins Read

Dust off your festival fits and get ready to dance, because Chasing Summer Festival is making its return to Calgary this August. The two-day EDM rave will take over the Max Bell Centre, bringing some of the biggest names in electronic music to the city.

With artists like Amin van Buuren, Fisher, and REZZ hitting the stage, this is one weekend where you might want to start practicing your dance moves now.

Here’s what’s happening at Chasing Summer

Once you’re inside the festival grounds, the hardest part might be deciding where to go first. With multiple stages running throughout the weekend, you’ll have plenty of chances to bounce between sets and discover new artists.

According to organizers, the 2026 lineup is packed with recognizable artists EDM fans will recognize, including Elderbrook, Troyboi, Two Friends, Hybrid Minds, and more. Whether you’re into house, techno, bass, or just looking for a song you can’t help but dance to, there will be plenty happening across the festival.

And of course, dancing for hours works up an appetite, but luckily the festival will have plenty of food truck vendors and drink options available to enjoy.

Tickets, dates, and everything you need to know

Chasing Summer Festival will take place on Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026. The festival will run from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. each day, giving you plenty of time to explore the grounds.

Tickets come in a few different options depending on how much of the festival you want to experience. Single-day general admission tickets start at $145, while weekend passes start at $235.

It’s important to note that the festival is 18+, so make sure that you have a valid government-issued ID with you when you arrive. And keep in mind that there is no on-site parking available, so you’ll want to make plans to either rideshare or take transit.

Of course, don’t forget to come prepared for a full day outside. Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a plan for getting home are all things you’ll want to think about before heading to the festival.

So if Calgary’s summer lineup wasn’t already packed enough, Chasing Summer is giving you one more reason to make plans.

When: Saturday, Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026
Time: Gates open at 2 p.m.
Where: Max Bell Centre – 1001 Barlow Tr. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Starting at $145
