annie baker’s plays have been performed at over 100 theatres across the world. recent honors include a new york drama critics circle award, a susan smith blackburn prize nomination, a lilly award, a time warner storytelling fellowship, a macdowell fellowship and a master artist residency at atlantic center for the arts.

deadline to submit: october 30, 2026, at 5pm.
auditions will be held on november 1, 2026, from 4-9:30pm. additional dates will be added, if required. callbacks will be scheduled for november 7, 2026. auditions and callbacks will be held at the theatre. in calgary’s beltline (101, 215 14th ave sw).
sides will be sent via email to actors in advance of the audition.
if selected to audition, we will not be able to provide a full copy of the play to read in advance. actors may request the sides for all characters prior to choosing a role to read for.
please only submit to audition if you are available for all rehearsals and performance dates. if you have minor conflicts, please address these dates and times in your email.

engagement details
we welcome auditions from both equity and non-equity artists. any necessary permissions or arrangements with equity will be discussed/arranged via appropriate channels.
all non-equity artists will be paid a fixed portion of ticket sales.
