In Brief: The Holidayist Group has acquired The Brunswick, an 18-suite property in Brunswick Heads, marking its first acquisition in New South Wales.
The Holidayist Group acquired The Brunswick in Brunswick Heads on the New South Wales North Coast in a sale negotiated by CBRE Hotels. The property was offered on behalf of private investors through a four-week on-market campaign.
The campaign generated more than 200 inquiries and resulted in multiple competitive offers from private investors, accommodation operators, owner-operators and developers.
Kylie Anning was the vendor. The sale was the first accommodation transaction in Brunswick Heads since 2019.
The acquisition is The Holidayist Group’s third and its first in New South Wales. Since launching three years ago, the group has acquired the Cheshire Cat Motel and The Burleigh Break Motel in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast as part of its focus on small-format boutique accommodation.
The Brunswick reopened in 2020 after a comprehensive refurbishment. The property has 18 guest suites, a swimming pool and deck, guest lounge, spa treatment room, reception and conference room.
CBRE Hotels’ Director Hayley Manvell said the property’s premium positioning near the Brunswick River and the town’s hospitality and retail precinct had been a key driver of buyer interest.
