Holiday Inn Resort Sasan Gir Planned for Q1 2031 Opening in India
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Paix Hospitality LLP to develop the 92-room Holiday Inn Resort Sasan Gir in Gujarat, scheduled to open in Q1 2031.
The resort will be located in Sasan Gir in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district, the sole natural habitat of the Asiatic lion. The property is planned to serve leisure stays, destination weddings and social celebrations.
Holiday Inn Resort Sasan Gir will have 92 rooms, including 11 suites, and five food and beverage outlets. The resort will also include 1,366 square meters of meeting and event space across four venues, including a 1,170-square-meter ballroom.
Other planned facilities include a swimming pool, fitness center, spa and retail space. The meeting and event facilities will serve weddings and social gatherings.
The agreement adds a Holiday Inn Resort property to IHG’s development activity in Gujarat. IHG currently has 53 open hotels across seven brands in India: Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Vignette Collection, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express.
The company also has a pipeline of 110 hotels in India due to open in the next three to five years.
