A nature expo is coming to Edmonton with flash tattoos, food trucks, and all things botanical

8 October 20263 Mins Read

Naturecore Expo will be hitting Edmonton this fall, bringing along over 80 vendors to create Edmonton’s biggest botanical shopping experience.

According to its website, Torrin Hammond and Lauren Ponto started these events in 2022 as a space for small plant businesses and plant lovers to connect. Since then, it’s grown into a huge expo featuring not only plant vendors, but flash tattoos, food trucks, and more fun things to explore.

Its expo is back this month, and you can anticipate a whole lot of rare greenery, houseplants, and all the botanical madness imaginable.

What to know before attending Naturecore Expo

Naturecore Expo is going to be returning to the indoor event centre at North East River Valley Park on Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There is free parking available on site, and the venue itself is family-friendly, accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers. According to the organizers, staff and security will be on site to help create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone.

If you’re looking to bring along your furry friends, the expo reminds folks that, while dogs are welcome in the park, they must remain outside the venue, including other pets as well. Service animals, however, are permitted.

Something unique and standout about this expo is its dedication to community and supporting local businesses, artists, and makers. As part of its commitment to community, you will not find any AI art or MLMs at the events.

As for the vendors themselves, you can check out the posts featuring some of the vendors on the expo’s Instagram. From handmade jewelry to houseplants to paint, there’s a whole lot of stuff to check out during the event.

How much is admission?

For the first four years, the expo was free to attend. According to its website, due to the event tripling in size, there is now a small admission fee to help the organizers keep providing the fantastic experience.

Admission for this upcoming expo is $5 per person at the door. There is free admission for children ages 14 and under.

If you’re looking for a casual weekend activity with friends or family, Naturecore Expo is the perfect event this fall. Mark your calendars for this upcoming October weekend, because you won’t want to miss this.

When: Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Event Centre at North East River Valley Park — 903 153rd Ave. NE, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $5
