For years, Queen of the South has been one of the most binge-worthy series on Netflix, but in March, several regions will see the excellent crime drama depart. The US is also set to lose Queen of the South, which will leave in April 2026.
Queen of the South is an American crime drama series that aired on the US Network for five seasons and 62 episodes. The series is the English adaptation of the Spanish series La Reina del Sur, which aired on USA Network’s sister channel Telemundo and was developed by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller.
The series is centered on Teresa Mendoza, played by Alice Braga, who fled Mexico to the United States after the death of her drug-runner boyfriend. Her heart is set on the revenge against those responsible for her lover’s death, even if that means becoming the country’s most powerful drug smuggler to achieve it.
