Choice Hotels International appointed Dominic Dragisich as president and chief executive officer and added him to its board of directors, effective Aug. 31, 2026. Dragisich had served as interim chief executive officer since May 20, 2026.
The board appointed Dragisich following a search that included internal and external candidates. Stewart Bainum Jr. remains chairman of Choice Hotels International’s board of directors.
Dragisich has held positions at Choice Hotels for nearly 10 years. His previous roles include chief financial officer, executive vice president of operations and chief global brand officer, and chief growth and strategy officer.
During his tenure, he helped lead acquisitions and strategic initiatives that expanded the company’s portfolio and served its franchisees and shareholders.
Before joining Choice Hotels, Dragisich was chief financial officer at XO Communications, where the business returned to top-line growth and increased profitability.
Earlier in his career, Dragisich held senior finance and operational positions at Marriott International, NII Holdings and Deloitte Consulting.
Dragisich will continue to lead the company’s strategy, commercial investments, brands and growth plans.
