Fort Edmonton Park is hosting a winter market with over 100 vendors and horse-drawn wagon rides

27 October 20263 Mins Read

The Edmonton Christmas Market is returning this November with more winter magic, bringing along curated holiday experiences, horse-drawn wagon rides, and so much more to enjoy.

Every winter, Fort Edmonton Park hosts a massive market, transforming the historic area into a winter wonderland. This event features glowing market huts, artisan showcases, mulled wine by firelight, live performances, culinary events, and many other festive activities you can be a part of.

If you’re looking to make the most of this upcoming holiday season, the Edmonton Christmas Market never fails to bring all the family-friendly fun possible.

What to expect at this year’s Edmonton Christmas Market

This year, the Edmonton Christmas Market is running every Thursday to Saturday starting Friday, Nov. 7, to Sunday, Dec. 20.

During the event, guests are welcome to explore over 100 local vendors at the market, check out the festive food and drink, live entertainment, holiday attractions, and soak in the wintry magic. More information on the vendors and additional festivities is coming soon.

On top of the free activities with admission, there’s a great slate of paid events lined up. This year features fun events like its Christmas Tea ceremony, a Japanese noodle-making experience, and an adults-only Candy Cabaret. Fort Edmonton Park will also be offering the ever-so-popular horse-drawn carriage rides for $8 per person.

The full schedule for 2026 can be found on the event’s website.

How much is admission?

Admission tickets are already available for purchase online, and prices vary. Walk-up tickets may be available, but according to the event’s website, admission is not guaranteed and is determined by event operators.

If you’re looking for general admission tickets, ticket prices start at $21.95 for adults (ages 16 and above) and $12.95 for youth (ages six to 15). Family packs are also available for two adults and two youth, starting at $59.95. Children ages five and under are able to enter the market for free.

These general admission tickets include guaranteed entry at your chosen time (30-minute arrival window) and one free carousel ride for youth (or two rides, if you’ve purchased a family pack).

For those looking to check out a movie at the Capitol Theatre, winter event, or workshop, ticket prices will vary depending on the activity. However, those purchasing an event ticket will be pleased to know general admission is included, giving guests the chance to explore the grounds before or after their event.

Most importantly, this annual holiday market welcomes all. Whether you’re continuing to visit yearly or starting a new tradition, the market is definitely going to provide you with a healthy dose of winter magic.
