Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and PT Citra Buana Prakarsa today announced the signing of a management agreement for Hyatt Regency Kapal Besar Island Resort. The planned resort will mark the debut of the Hyatt Regency brand in the Riau Islands and support Hyatt’s continued growth in Indonesia.
Located on private Pulau Kapal Besar near Batam, the resort will offer a secluded island setting within easy reach of Singapore and key Indonesian cities. The total journey from HarbourFront, Singapore, is expected to take approximately 50 minutes.
Set amid the natural beauty of Pulau Kapal Besar, the resort will embrace the island’s tranquil lake, mangroves and coastal surroundings, offering guests opportunities to relax, explore and connect with nature. The resort is planned to include 140 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, alongside a spa, fitness center, outdoor pools and Camp Hyatt kids’ club with indoor and outdoor facilities and an entertainment center. With its secluded island setting and range of amenities, the resort is envisioned as a destination for a wide range of travelers, whether seeking a relaxing getaway, a family vacation or a setting for weddings, celebrations and group gatherings.
