In Brief: IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed agreements for Holiday Inn Tamworth in New South Wales and Holiday Inn & Suites Rockhampton in Queensland, adding 190 rooms in total.

IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the two hotel signings in Sydney on Nov. 4. Both properties will be operated by La Vie Hotels & Resorts.
Holiday Inn Tamworth will involve refurbishing and expanding the existing 60-room Best Western Sanctuary Inn. Refurbishment of the guestrooms, reception and restaurant is scheduled for completion in 2027, with an additional 30 rooms scheduled for construction by 2029.
The completed Holiday Inn Tamworth will have 90 rooms. Tamworth is home to the Tamworth Country Music Festival and supports corporate, government and leisure travel, backed by the agriculture, logistics, health and education sectors.
Holiday Inn & Suites Rockhampton will be a new-build hotel with 100 guestrooms, including 40 one- and two-bedroom suites, as part of a mixed-use precinct.
The Rockhampton hotel will include 350 square meters of conference and events space, a 100-seat function room and an outdoor swimming pool. The property is intended to serve business, leisure and extended-stay guests.
Rockhampton is a regional center in Central Queensland with resources, agriculture, commerce and tourism activity. An opening date for the Rockhampton hotel was not provided.
