Miracles of the ER is an upcoming Taiwanese Netflix Original medical drama, and Taiwan’s first-ever set in a hospital’s emergency department. The series is directed by Isaac Li and Huang Ching-tsu, who is also the series’s writer. Jade Lee is the producer of the series.

We wanted to push the boundaries of Taiwanese medical drama. Our hope is to create a series rooted in Taiwan, with human stories and issues that resonate across Asia, and perhaps give viewers something deeper to reflect on.

At Yang-Da University Hospital, Associate Director of Emergency Medicine Chou Cheng-jun (Wallace Huo) makes a bold decision to accept Lin Geng-ming (Kent Tsai), an average-performing medical school graduate. Lin joins the emergency department as a resident alongside elite peers, Tang Hsi (Chan Tzu-hsuan) and Chiang Tung-yen (Payne Peng), working shoulder to shoulder to save lives. Together with senior attending physician He Yu-hua (Cheryl Yang), the ER team faces relentless medical crises, ethical dilemmas, and internal power struggles within the hospital. Miracles of the ER delves into the complex dynamics between doctors and patients, patients and their families, revealing both the tension and the deep compassion that bind them all together.

Who are the cast members of Miracles of the ER?
Wallace Huo plays Chou Cheng-chun, a decisive, highly-skilled emergency physician who mentors younger doctors. The actor previously starred in Netflix’s comedy-drama Forget You Not. He has also starred in dramas such as Why Is He Still Single, The Great Craftsman, and Love Me If You Dare.
Kent Tsai plays Lin Geng-ming, a first-year emergency medicine resident whose eagerness to help patients outstrips his experience. The actor has starred in several films and dramas available on Netflix, including Breaking and Re-Entering, Double Happiness, Bad Education, 96 Minutes, and the popular original series Million-Follower Detective.
