New Jersey’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Plans $107 Million Tower Renovation Project

In Brief: Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa plans a $107 million renovation of the Borgata Tower, with work scheduled to begin Sept. 13 and renovated guestrooms available floor by floor beginning in October 2026.

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced plans to reimagine the Borgata Tower, introducing a refreshed experience across all guestrooms and suites, guestroom corridors and the tower’s main lobby, known as The Living Room. The $107 million project is scheduled to begin Sept. 13, with newly renovated guestrooms becoming available on a floor-by-floor basis beginning in October 2026.

Designed by longtime collaborator of Borgata, Avenue Interior Design, which also worked on the tower’s previous design, the recent remodel of MGM Tower and transformation of B Bar, the new design will introduce a warmer, more contemporary take on the resort’s signature glamour. Inspired by modern Italian design and fine tailoring, guestrooms and suites will feature clean architectural lines, rich materials and residential details, with a palette of warm woods, camel and cognac tones, cream, deep blue and burnished metals, with an intention to feel polished, yet comfortable.

“The reimaging of the Borgata Tower is the latest step in our broader investment across the property as we continue to enhance the overall guest experience,” said Nik Rytterstrom, President & COO, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. “As one of the most important touchpoints within the resort, this reinvestment gives us the opportunity to thoughtfully evolve the Borgata Tower for today’s guests, with a design that stays true to the sophistication and energy of the property, while introducing a fresh and elevated sense of comfort that still feels distinctly Borgata.”

Throughout the guestrooms and suites, upholstered headboards, custom woodwork, integrated metal detailing and sculptural furnishings will add texture and warmth, while lighting and furniture placement will help draw attention back to the Atlantic City views.

“We routinely find ourselves referencing fashion when first concepting for any scope,” said Ashley Justman, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Avenue Interior Design. “From the beginning, we kept coming back to the idea of a beautifully tailored wardrobe for the guestroom and suites renovation at the Borgata – collections that felt current, but whose appeal came from the quality of their materials, their proportions and the way they’re made. Our goal was to create a style, loosely based on Italian craftsmanship, that endured. The guestrooms are more restrained and residential, with a real emphasis on craftsmanship and tactile detail, while the corridors and elevator lobbies allow for those bolder, more expressive moments. It was important to us that the design feel evolved and sophisticated without losing the glamour, confidence and energy that are so intrinsic to Borgata.”

The remodel will also refresh the tower’s corridors and elevator lobbies with bolder colors, artwork and graphic patterns, including a carpet with an abstract interpretation of Italian mosaic design. The Living Room will retain its existing architecture while receiving new furnishings and finishes designed to brighten the space and create a stronger sense of arrival. The project is part of a property-wide transformation that will continue to unfold into 2027.
