Clausen joins Hyatt with nearly two decades of international luxury hospitality experience across four continents, eight countries and nine hotels. His experience includes operational excellence, commercial leadership and people development.

Before joining Park Hyatt London River Thames, Clausen served as cluster general manager for Kempinski Palace Portorož in Slovenia and Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Savudrija, Croatia. He spent much of his career with Kempinski Hotels, holding senior leadership positions in sales and marketing, rooms division and executive management before his first general manager role at Kempinski Hotel Aqaba in Jordan.

A graduate of École hôtelière de Lausanne, Clausen began his hospitality career as a sales trainee. His leadership philosophy centers on service excellence and innovation, with a focus on commercial performance and operational success.

“I am honoured to join Hyatt and Park Hyatt London River Thames at such an exciting time,” Clausen said. “The Park Hyatt brand is synonymous with refined luxury and personalised service, and I look forward to working alongside the talented team to continue delivering exceptional experiences for our guests while building on the hotel’s strong reputation in London.”

Clausen also contributes to the industry through guest lecturing at École hôtelière de Lausanne.
