Savannah Guthrie Shares New Message to Her Mother’s Kidnapper: 'It Is Never Too Late to Do the Right Thing'

15 February 20262 Mins Read

Savannah Guthrie has another message for her mother’s kidnapper.

On Sunday, Feb. 15, the Today Show anchor posted a video to Instagram directed to her mother’s alleged abductor. Savannah’s mom Nancy, 84, has been missing since Feb. 1.

“I wanted to come on. It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope. We still believe, and I wanted to say to whoever has her, or knows where she is, that it’s never too late and you’re not lost or alone,” Savannah said. “
It is never too late to do the right thing and we are here. We believe. We believe in the essential goodness [of] every human being, and it’s never too late.”

Since their mother’s disappearance, Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have made several public pleas to her alleged captor, even offering to pay a ransom in exchange for proof that she is alive.

In a video posted Monday, Feb. 9, Savannah also asked the public for help, describing the situation as an “hour of desperation” for their family.

Earlier on Feb. 15, the FBI confirmed that a glove found two miles from Nancy’s Tucson-area home “matches” ones seen in a doorbell camera video of a potential suspect. However, the DNA results are pending.

“The FBI received preliminary results yesterday on 2/14 and are awaiting quality control and official confirmation today before putting unknown male profile into CoDIS, the national database unique to the bureau,” a statement read. “This process typically takes 24 hours from when the bureau receives DNA.”

The FBI urges anyone with tips or leads to call 1-800-CALL-FBI in addition to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office number, 520-351-4900. An $100,000 reward is currently being offered to anyone with information leading to Nancy or the arrest of her kidnapper.
