According to CoStar’s latest data, the U.S. hotel industry continued its positive momentum during the week of Aug. 23-29, although growth slowed as the Labor Day holiday shifted on the calendar compared with the previous year.

National occupancy reached 64.1%, up 1.1% from the comparable week in 2025. Average daily rate increased 0.6% to US$157.14, while revenue per available room rose 1.7% to US$100.69.

San Francisco posted the strongest performance among the Top 25 hotel markets. Occupancy climbed 25.0% to 82.8%, ADR rose 28.0% to US$231.82, and RevPAR increased 59.9% to US$191.87. The gains were driven by the Pokémon World Championships.

New Orleans recorded the sharpest declines in occupancy and RevPAR. Occupancy fell 14.9% to 40.6%, and RevPAR dropped 18.4% to US$47.50, reflecting a comparison with the previous year’s Southern Decadence event.

New York City saw the only double-digit decline in ADR among the Top 25 markets, with ADR down 12.3% to US$279.72.
