Stay Cal Hospitality has opened the voco Ardez Hotel Sunnyvale by IHG at 1101 Elko Drive in Sunnyvale. The 51-room hotel is the first voco property by IHG to open in Silicon Valley.
The hotel was designed and built to LEED Gold standards, featuring a nature-focused design with a living moss wall in the lobby and a floor-to-ceiling glass wine cellar. An original commissioned art program includes a hand-painted nest mural at the property’s center and large-scale corridor murals depicting an owl, flamingo, and goldfinch on each floor.
Amenities include Verd’e, a craft cocktail lounge and restaurant, a library-inspired great room, a dedicated boardroom, a modern fitness center, a Full Swing golf simulator suite, and a glass-enclosed California wine cellar. Guest rooms feature custom floral headboards, soft mint-and-ochre palettes, and dedicated workspaces.
The property adheres to voco brand sustainability standards, offering 100% recycled-material bedding, refillable bathroom amenities, glass water bottles, and aerated showerheads.
The hotel is named after Ardez, a village in Switzerland’s Lower Engadin valley known for its hand-painted sgraffito facades and heritage tourism. The design draws on both Northern California craft and the alpine heritage associated with the voco brand.
The voco Ardez Hotel Sunnyvale is located near major Silicon Valley employers, San Jose International Airport, Levi’s Stadium, and the Lawrence Caltrain Station. Reservations are currently open.
