Choice Hotels properties can be discovered, compared and booked through Google’s AI Mode in Search. The feature allows travelers to describe hotel requirements in plain English, including location, amenities, travel dates and other stay preferences.
AI Mode provides a visual list of hotel options with room photos, rates, guest ratings, reviews and side-by-side comparisons.
Choice Hotels is also participating in an AI Mode capability that displays the cost of a stay in Choice Privileges points for members.
After selecting a hotel, users can choose “Continue on Google,” select a room type and complete the booking through Google Pay.
Choice Hotels uses AI across guest-facing experiences, franchisee tools and associate workflows. The company has also migrated its system infrastructure to the cloud, which supports the adoption and scaling of capabilities across its operations.
The Google arrangement is an early hotel-booking partnership for AI Mode in Search.
