Abercrombie and Fitch has opened in Calgary with a new look

27 July 20263 Mins Read

Abercrombie and Fitch has officially returned to Calgary, as the retailer officially opened its doors at CF Chinook Centre on Sunday, July 26, 2026. So if you’ve spent the past few years ordering your favourite Abercrombie and Fitch pieces online, you can finally shop the brand in person again.

Back in April, signage started appearing throughout CF Chinook Centre hinting that Abercrombie and Fitch would soon be making its return to Calgary. Now that the wait is officially over, let’s take a look at what shoppers can expect when they walk through the doors.

While Abercrombie and Fitch isn’t a completely new name for Calgary shoppers, the retailer’s return comes with a fresh look and a new location inside CF Chinook Centre.

The brand previously had a location inside the mall near Urban Outfitters before closing in 2023, as the retailer shifted more of its focus to online shopping and closed many stores.

Now, the retailer has returned to the mall in the former Shoppers Drug Mart space, moving into a more central, high-traffic area that’s hard to miss. Along with the new location comes a completely refreshed store design that feels a lot different from the Abercrombie and Fitch many shoppers might remember.

Gone are the days of the dimly lit Abercrombie and Fitch stores that many people grew up with. The retailer has swapped its old signature vibe for a bright, more modern look that feels like a completely different era for the brand.

The new location carries both men’s and women’s collections, giving shoppers plenty to browse, along with a dedicated women’s activewear section. You’ll also find everything from everyday basics to denim and business casual pieces, making it easy to shop for work, weekends, and everything in between.

If Abercrombie and Fitch was a staple part of your mall trips growing up, you can officially add it back to your shopping rotation. And if you thought one nostalgic fashion comeback wasn’t enough, there’s more on the way.

Hollister is set to open a new location directly above Abercrombie and Fitch later this year, bringing another familiar name back to the mall.

We’ll keep you updated on when Hollister will officially open its doors. Until then, happy shopping, Calgary!
