Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort has appointed Frederik Van den Borre as General Manager, effective 15 January 2026.
Frederik Van den Borre will oversee strategy and daily operations at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, beginning 15 January 2026, with a focus on enhancing the guest experience, strengthening commercial performance, maintaining brand standards, and supporting team development across the property.
Van den Borre joined Minor Hotels in 2022 as Executive Assistant Manager at Anantara Mui Ne Resort, later serving as Acting General Manager and leading the property through a full refurbishment. He became General Manager at Avani Hai Phong Harbour View Hotel in mid-2022, and returned to Anantara Mui Ne Resort as General Manager in August 2024.
A German national, Van den Borre brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. He began his career at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, Germany, and took his first international assignment as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager with Raffles in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He has held senior food and beverage leadership roles with Kempinski Hotels, including at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul and Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, and served as Executive Assistant Manager overseeing food and beverage operations at The Peninsula Shanghai.
Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort is located on the southern coast of Sri Lanka.
