Hilton has surpassed 100 open and planned hotels across the Caribbean. The portfolio includes nearly 60 existing hotels.
Hilton opened Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton San Juan, a 257-room dual-brand development in San Juan’s Convention District near the Puerto Rico Convention Center and DISTRITO T-Mobile. The project is the first Homewood Suites by Hilton property in Puerto Rico and Hilton’s first dual-brand development in the Caribbean.
The development combines Homewood Suites by Hilton, an extended-stay brand, and Hampton by Hilton in one project. It also expands Hampton by Hilton’s presence in Puerto Rico beyond Isla Verde. Hampton by Hilton Ponce is in the pipeline.
The San Juan project is the city’s first new-build hotel development in more than five years. The hotels serve business, convention, leisure and extended-stay guests.
In Puerto Rico, Hilton plans to double its existing portfolio to nearly 25 hotels. Projects are advancing in San Juan, Ponce, Fajardo, Dorado and Arecibo. The company’s pipeline on the island includes Hampton by Hilton Ponce, Motto by Hilton San Juan Santurce and Tru by Hilton San Juan Condado.
Elsewhere in the Caribbean, Hilton listed The Westerly at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino and Ports of Call Resort Turks & Caicos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, among its notable 2026 openings. Through its partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Hilton also added West Bay Club in Turks and Caicos, ONE GT Grand Cayman and Paradise Beach Nevis in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Planned properties include DoubleTree by Hilton Punta Cana Downtown, expected by year-end 2026, and Tru by Hilton Punta Cana, planned for 2027. DoubleTree by Hilton Curaçao is slated for 2027.
Tranquility Beach Resort Dominica, Curio Collection by Hilton, is expected in 2028 and would be Hilton’s first hotel in Dominica. Other properties slated or planned for 2028 include Paradise Breeze Nassau, Curio Collection by Hilton; Hilton Garden Inn Barbados Rockley Beach; Motto by Hilton San Juan Santurce; and Hampton by Hilton Trinidad Airport.
Elephant Tree Resort and Villas Tobago, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is planned for 2030. Waldorf Astoria Turks and Caicos Dellis Cay and AMARIS Grace Bay Turks and Caicos, LXR Hotels & Resorts, are expected in 2030.
